The Platters
THE PLATTERS(派特斯)，五位黑人成员分别是： Tony Williams、David Lynch、Paul Robi、Herb Reed和 Zola Taylor。被誉为美国国宝级组合的五黑宝（The Platters）是50年代最顶尖的美声团体之一；世界首席流行乐队于六十年代在美国罗省组成，是流行音乐史上第一支在热门流行榜上拥有冠军歌曲的黑人合唱团体，他们的歌曲流传广远，几乎已经到了无人不知无人不晓的地步，时至今日，当他们登台时，仍旧骄傲地自我介绍，这是美国献给世人的珍贵礼物。风格以流行音乐为主THE PLATTERS发行的第一首《ONLY YOU》，从而成为黑人歌星的第一首全球畅销金牌榜。乐队于50年代非常成功，除了是第一队黑人乐队拥有冠军歌曲外，也是第一队乐队在演唱中跨越乐迷种族界限，另外他们的大热单曲《Twilight Time》也是Rock N Roll时期第一首歌曲加入弦乐。除了管路唱片，又四处游唱，并与1959年成为首队乐队于铁幕国家波兰演唱。另一方面也拍下“Rock Around The Clock”及“The Girl Can’t Help It”等电影。此曲为1958美国榜冠军畅销歌曲，风靡全球。
