His husky yet smooth voice is seductive -- sort of like if Barry White could croon -- and he sounds good in the lush arrangements that dominate Uncle Sam. Unfortunately, he doesn't always have the songs to match his gospel-inflected delivery. Nevertheless, his singing demonstrates enough potential to make Uncle Sam a promising debut.
