SBTRKT is currently finishing work on the follow-up to his self-titled debut LP. But first, the British electronic artist has plans for a new series of instrumental 12-inches called Transitions. Already we’ve heard the track called “Hold the Line”; now, you can stream the entire collection via SBTRKT’s website. The 12-inches will be released in three parts, each featuring two songs with artwork and 2D Moiré animated created by A Hidden Place. Transitions I will be available May 5th, with part II following on May 19th, and Transitions III on June 2nd. The material will also available for digital download. SBTRKT stated in a press release that the music was all written in the past year while in the processes of recording his sophomore record. He added, “Much of the music I released before my debut album was instrumental and I want to continue to share this side of the music I make.” In that vein, the new material is “along the lines of the music [SBTRKT] put out on Ramp or the early Young Turks releases.”
