by Tony Wilds The RCA "Our Man in..." series was not the best, and any album featuring both the twist and the bossa nova is unlikely to be good. But this is Perez Prado. Here he gets to take old standards popularized by Cugat and others and really change the rhythm. The ostensible newness of the album is to introduce the "bongoson," which is the twist merged with the Cuban "son." What this really means is more Twist Goes Latin. Anyone interested in Latin rhythms, especially as applied to tunes written with completely different rhythms, would find Our Man amusing. And fans of stereo Prado and Latin-twist can do no better.
