Born on November 22, 1995 I love Music, Movies, Socialising, Watching Series and Photography I've known that I wanted to perform since I can remember (5-6 years old, 2000-2001). Performing was a wide option because I could dance, act or sing, I would gather family around and dance for them just because I wanted to perform. When I was 5 years old I already got into music by taking flute lessons and when I was 6 years old, I started taking dance classes. Later I started taking drama classes and played roles like Goldilocks and Cinderella. I always felt there was something missing so I stopped the flute, dance and later the drama classes and started doing school productions. At the age of six I started choir lessons and stopped when I was 9 years old because it still wasn't what I really wanted. I'd enter for culture activities and tried to sing in front of people, but for some reason I couldn't get over the stage fright, but realised when I was 10 that music is all I wanted to do and I then became part of a singing/dance group in my school. They knew my voice from choir and asked me to pre-record the songs with two other girls in my group. That's the first time I ever recorded in a recording studio. I loved hearing my voice like that, and since then I've been working to improve my voice. I tried singing in front of a crowd, but ended up dropping the mic and crying in the bathroom. When I was 13, I tried to build up my confidence, and everyone knew me as "the drama queen" because of my personality and the roles that I previously played. I got one of the lead roles in my school's first musical which really excited me. When I went to high school, I knew all I wanted to do was make music, I just didn't know how. I tried doing the acting thing but I quickly grew out of it. I saw kids entering to sing in my high school and then they'd go through to the gala evening if they were good, and they'd make a big show out of it. I asked my mom if I can start with singing lessons at 15 because I wanted to be part of that show. I gained confidence and wanted to sing more, I sang at shows at my school but I knew it wouldn't get me anywhere. When I was 16, I got the lead role in a musical at my school and won the big culture trophy at the end of the year. It was a big honour but I decided I want to focus on things outside of school so I auditioned for a band at 17. They chose me as their lead singer and we started practising and later made a music video. It was very successful for our first music video but I didn't get along with the band because their views and wants were different from mine. I entered a singing competition (high school superstar) and got through to the top ten in my school. I won the competition in the school and then I had to sing against 14 other schools in the finals. I sang in the Pretoria state theatre and it was the best experience ever. There I came fourth place in 2013 and at the end of the show I walked out of the dressing room and the Goliath Studios team approached me to go to their studio. I was very excited and working with the Goliath Studio team we started writing a rock song. It went well and the song finished, but we all agreed that it needed something. I started singing for money and sang at places like guest houses, pubs and festivals. I got a job to sing and present at Monte casino in and realised I'm actually good at presenting/being an MC. Now every Easter weekend and Christmas time I sing, present and entertain at Monte Casino while studying Languages and making my first EP album. We recently decided to change the sound to hip-hop/rap and my first song is ready for the world to listen to ! The words come from heart and real life!
