Intelligent Audio is a brand new label based in London with a concept that will allow artists to fully express themselves without being limited to genres. Every release will be split into two EPs by the same artist; the 'Intelligent Audio 1' stream will focus on house music spanning genres while on 'Intelligent Audio 2' the artist will be given free reign to release other styles of music they produce. The first release comes from Trademark who lay down some deep, tech and jacking house grooves on IA1 alongside broken beat and eclectic grooves on IA2. Trademark is the collaboration of Forces Of Nature member Tony Reeves and Tundra Records label mate Loki. Both have been writing, performing and producing music for over 10 years. Formed in 2001, the Trademark project fused Loki's deep, jazzy chords with electronic experimentalism, focusing on the live performance. The duo have released music on chill-out labels Cartel Records, Bar De Lune and Afro Art. Their style ranges from chillout through breakbeat to deep house and even drum and bass. This year sees the pair return to their roots with some deep, tech-house grooves for the discerning clubber. Loki also has experience as a sound designer for Electronic Arts (EA Games) as well as numerous side projects including sound design for short films and computer games while Tony has recorded three albums with his jazz quartet, Blue Matter. Regarding the wide ranging musical concept of the label, founder Clare Large explains, 'The vision for the label is to release quality, consistent, well produced, excellently and excitingly programmed, amazing, inspiring electronic music. I would like to build Intelligent Audio as an interesting brand where people know they will get quality from wonderful artists, but not the specific genre. The first releases will cover deep house, downtempo, drum and bass, breaks and ambient from some incredible and very experienced artists. I intend to also release techno, dubstep and anything else that has soul, emotion, and that makes me groove, and smile.' It's also come from 10 years DJing all over the world, and the knowledge that we all are emotionally attached to music, in our own way.
