The grandaughter of a close friend of mine had just turned one when she passed away from a rare disease. The family has great faith in the Lord. When the baby passed away, I saw the pain my friend was going through. I so desparately wanted to comfort her, but realizing that no comfort can be given. How do you comfort someone who had just lost her beloved granddaughter? At the same time, she is unable to ease the pain her daughter was going through in losing her only child. She too was helpless in comforting her own daughter. The Lord said "Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted." Matthew 5:4
