Skrillex started just by mucking about in his room - why not you? audiofreq was composed, performed, recorded, mixed & engineered in a 9x9x9 foot room in 2010-12, using a pc & laptop, i-phone & i-pad, electric guitar & bass, e-drums & percussion, roland gr-20 guitar synth & keys, ni maschine/kontakt/guitar rig/etc, ableton live, sony acid pro, avid protools, boss rc-20 & rc-50 loop pedals and sure ksm 27 & sm58 mics. A mosaic of royalty free loops and sampled ambient sounds were remixed in to make it sound more clever than it otherwise might. When your head is filled with endlessly looping media , it must be released. If not, madness is imminent. audiofreq is what happens when the melodies decide to sing themselves.
