Where I'm From
LOS LOS, has been in the rap scene for some years now, vibe-ing with hip hop since the mid 80's. Classics like "Rappers Delight" and "Walk this Way" with DMC have been a great influence on him as well as many others in the game. These were what made hip/hop and rap be what it is now. LOS has been rapping around since he was in Junior High in sixth grade but made a decision to make it a carreer early in High School. As an entrepaneur in many obstacles of life he loves his music and everything that comes with the title of the game. With his own personal recording studio and production company his abilities are unlimited; Los is a producer, hear more of his full production on his sophomore album later in 2005, recording engineer, fully mixing and mastering, an incredible artist with great meaning and lyrical power, and the abilities to play the boards and saxophone including reading and writing full music. In his debut album with Motion E Records, Where I'm From , LOS showcases his skills as a poetic mastermind, rhythmic sensation, and gifted producer. LOS's talent offers a sound that effectively transcends social backgrounds and musical preferences. In the first featured track, "Still Ain't Forgave Myself," LOS examines life's most challenging trials, and the inevitable decisions that can't be ignored. Life is full of choices, and LOS offers a personal reflection on learning from mistakes, accepting the consequences of actions, and learning to move on. The album is aptly balanced by songs including "Keep It Trill" and "Tear Dis Roof Off," during which listeners are treated to high-energy, confident verse, as well as some lyrical play on"Big Red Carpet." "Rap/HipHop is an expression of emotion from deep inside the soul, regardless of tone. It encompasses our deepest fears and most joyous triumphs. It is our perspective of society, of politics, of history repeating itself, of our most intimate comrades or the world at large. Most "rap" in today's over-commercialized world has lost its edge - the ?edge? foundation upon which rap was created. The style blaring across the radiowaves has strayed away from its roots and core purpose. As an apprentice of art and music, my mission is simple: to put the ?streets back into the rap genre, while maintaining superior rhythmic variation and creativity, as well as high-quality production. Fans of early Death Row days ( The Chronic , Doggystyle and other classic rap records) mixed with the Third Coast Uniqness, will enjoy this fresh and raw style of musical expression." - LOS Not big on being a hater LOS as well as everyone else has his beefs with a few artist but no how is that a crutch for his skill to get him to the top. Jump on this train ladies and gentlemen because this is the future and LOS is tha person to mold the rap game with his excellent craft. Dropping his first independent album in 2001 titled Lyrics Without Script a freestyle album, and 2004's Where I'm From LOS really is starting a buzz all around and will not stop till the End of Time. This juggernaut is taking over and will crush who gets in his way. LOS,in Hebrew, translates to "The One." This premier presentation of his hard work and inherent talent demands attention from the rap community. Expect to hear even bigger and better from this man soon.
