As Musical Director for Canadian Chinese Idol, Peter was appointed the first official North American composer for China’s top superstar Laure Shang. History was made when Laure recorded in Toronto & then performed the English single "We Will Fly" in Toronto, Montreal, Las Vegas, Miami, and also a successful English single in China written & produced by Peter Linseman & Yawar Siddiqui. "How beautifully fitting that music is the bridge that allows Canada and China to exchange their talent & culture. I had the pleasure of working with the angelic voice and the beautiful soul - Laure Shang. What a thrill to work with such a pro in the studio as well. Another touching moment was receiving a plaque at the opening ceremonies of CC Idol (Toronto, Canada) from Duan & Plato (The Huayi Bros), naming me their first official Canadian composer to be writing and producing for China’s superstar Laure Shang. I was so pleased to be able to share that moment with co-writers Karina Es & Yawar Siddiqui, who have both collaborated on "We Will Fly".
