In an interview earlier this month, Phoenix guitarist Christian Mazzalai suggested that a collaborative recording with R. Kelly was likely in the works. Now, Phoenix have posted an image on their Instagram (above) confirming its official. A remix of Phoenixs Bankrupt! track "Trying to Be Cool" featuring Kells is on the way. This follows Phoenixs on-stage collaboration with R. Kelly at this years Coachella. Speaking about the initial Coachella collab with Radio.com, guitarist Laurent Brancowitz said, "We are big fans and we asked him in a very simple way and explained what we had in mind and he just said yes." Apparently, Phoenix always listen to R. Kelly before going on stage. "We love his art," Mazzalai said.
