Singer/songwriter Jay Brannan has announced plans to release a new covers , aptly titled Around The World In 80 Jays, on September 3, 2013. is an acoustic collection of nine cover songs performed in six different languages. The EP begins with Sinead O’Connor’s “Black Boys On Mopeds” in English, followed by Selena’s hit Spanish single “Bidi Bidi Bom Bom.” From there, the listener is taken on a world voyage through Germany, France, Brazil and Italy. The EP wraps in English with a cover of the Patty Griffin-written, Dixie Chicks-performed folk song “Top of the World.”
