Just Desserts
"Just Desserts" is a song by Marina and the Diamonds and Charli XCX, presumably created for their Lonely Hearts Club Tour. The song, probably recorded in 2011 or 2012, was originally a solo song by Diamandis entitled "The Other Foot." The demo did not make the cut for Electra Heart, but was leaked in late 2012. The song was updated in early 2013 with new material from Charli XCX. Two slightly different versions of the duet exist, one uploaded (then quickly deleted) by Charli XCX, and the final version uploaded a few hours later by both artists. But the meaning of the song isnt "Just desserts" . Marina is singing "Just desserts" but it pronounceds like "Justice hurts". Its the same thing with teen "Idle" and "Idol" "Just Desserts" is a song performed by British singers Marina and the Diamonds and Charli XCX. It was released on 1 May 2013 on Charli XCXs Soundcloud account and was made available as a free download. The collaboration was first announced by record mixer Dan Parry on 25 April, when he uploaded a photo to his Instagram account showing a mixing table and a label with "- Charlie XCX Feat Marina & the Diamonds" written on it. The song belonged to Marina and was titled "The Other Foot". According to an interview, she had written this song for a rapper, and he’d never used it, so Marina added a few things, called it “Just Desserts”, and she put it out with Charli XCX.
