"Hold Up", the new single from Mr. C The Slide Man a/k/a (Dj Casper) featuring J-Dub, Marshall Thompson (Of the Chi-Lites) and Steve Butler, is a flamboyant improvisation that embodies the art of steppin'. Mr. C, a nine-time winner of the largest annual stepper's contest and artist/producer Butler teamed up to do a song that steppers could appreciate. Once the project was under way, they invited Mr. C's son, rapper J-Dub, onto the record and picked up Marshall Thompson as the project progressed because he enjoyed the vibe at the studio session so much.
