What amazes people the most about Carly Beth is how her talent and the depth of her music transcends the age of this 16-year-old writer. Her compositions tend to replay in your mind, and before you know it, you are humming them. When Carly Beth placed second in the 2013 NY State United Teacher’s Organization, in a program highlighting young composers, one of the judges stated that, “Carly is the next Jim Brickman” (Grand Island School District Newsletter, July 2013). Carly Beth’s talent for song writing became evident when she started taking piano lessons at an early age. She was writing simple songs by age 9, and she progressed to complex, complete creations by the age of 13. In 2013, at the age of 16, she recorded her first album called, TAKING FLIGHT. These days, it’s difficult to draw her away from the piano, and she’s already geared up and writing songs for her next album!
