Man On the Moon
Encore is a melting pot of music, style, genre, influence, and ingenuity. Encore mixes hard rock riffs with soulful, powerful, vocals; jazzy bass, thunderous drumbeats, catchy and meaningful lyrics, and a passion that emanates throughout their work. When you're listening to Encore, you're not just listening to good music; you're listening to stories. Stories of the past and stories in the making. What is it that Encore wants? To make music, And never stop. That's where the name comes from: a drive to, no matter what happens or changes, keep on making music and playing for those who enjoy the tunes they pump out. That's what an encore is. A call back. Another chance, whether it's needed or not. An encore is what Encore is: a shout out for more. One more song. Always. In 2008 two boys stumbled into one another in eighth grade English class. They found themselves united by a common humor. The two, although they grew close, took over a year to discover each other’s concealed talents. One was a poet, the other a musician. Both were artists in their own form. In their freshman year, their humor led them to write a song together that was intended to provide enough laughs to get them through their first semester of high school. They found that they enjoyed writing songs very much. They recruited other musicians and formed what they would call, “Encore.” Though there have been four different drummers, three bassists, and two rhythm guitarists, they band has been essentially the same since its birth. Ethan Roubo has always been the vocalist, and Richard Crowell has always been the guitarist. They are the two aforementioned eighth grade boys, now seniors in high school. Another original member of the band is Matthew Johnston, the bassist. The very first show was just these three members, and Matt played drums. Matt, the brother of Ethan, heard Ethan and Richard practicing their song, and just sat down with them and played the drums. The next member was Adrian Bean, the rhythm guitarist. He would first play drums before his eventual switch to guitar. At the time of his arrival he brought a musical experience and knowledge that the other three did not possess. Though the others would later expand their own musical knowledge and abilities, Adrian’s arrival to the band revolutionized their sound from garage band to crisp sound worthy of an Encore. The newest addition to the band is the drummer Darin Demule, a former fan of the band now member who brings a new sense of wild intensity and on stage experience that brought the band to a point of well rounded skill, passion, and presence. Their debut album "Man On the Moon" was released on 10/26/13. You can check them out at www.foreverencoremusic.com
