Sorry I'm Latte - EP Introduction This EP was produced and recorded completely on Garageband on iPhone. Filled with warm jazzy chords and floating vocals, Sorry I'm Latte is the debut EP of Jasmine Kelly. The musical imagery is reminscent of a sun-loving, carefree student, but hidden in the lyrics is a more philosophical wave. Written during a time when Jasmine was finding herself, many songs touch on the concept of being alone in the world for the first time. The EP starts out with "Island", a dreamy song paired with a stop motion animation video that Jasmine did herself, the song describes a dream relationship with a person who only exists in her head. She sings about buying an island with this ideal person and having a great time but her voice drips with a sort of sad longing as this person doesn't know her name. Next, "Vanilla". A song about leaving the nest and embarking on her own life journey, Jasmine writes about her hopes, excitement, and gives advice directly to the listener. "Golden Hour" sees Jasmine experimenting with unique chords and a deeper vocal range, as she pines about a failed relationship and how she is forgetting them now. "Morning" grapples with insecurity and confusion with entering the world as a new adult. Lastly, "It's Freezing" was one of the first songs written by Jasmine when she was only thirteen years old. In the song which is reminiscent of winter and Christmas, Jasmine sings about having a crush on someone and how although the weather is freezing cold her palms are still sweaty.
