Los Angeles based musicians Nate Filichia (frontman of punk rock band Lock/Jaw) and Brett Thomas (bassist of industrial metal band Despite Loyalty) are the impressive musicians, singers, songwriters who begat the Bate project. What began as two high school students playing as an acoustic duo for friends at school and being cheered on at battles of the bands without even being in the competition (as Bate was the buffer act between sets) has evolved into a distinguishable folk band. They do not limit themselves in the creative process and are not afraid of showing their punk roots in their heartbreak songs. "Falling" is Bate's debut single which will be the opening track on a split album with YouTuber Darkovika entitled 'Split Debate'. This is great taste of the album's flavors.
