Hey, I'm Chris. Thought I might talk a little about my music, and provide some bio as well. My Mom gave a guitar to me for my 24th birthday. I'm 32 now. I started writing songs immediately. Mostly gag songs for my friends. That may have been the extent of it, but life gave me a curve ball. I was diagnosed with cancer at 26. It changed everything. Put life on hold. After healing for a few months and then doing PT, I decided I wanted to go back to school. I went to UNCW and majored in Religion. Then my illness came back and I dropped out to have radiation. I was so sick upon completion of treatment that hospice was called in. But I didn't die, the side affects diminished, and I'm alot healthier. This is the reason I haven't been in a band or cut a studio album. I've been too sick to. My music came out of these experiences and struggles. Since I was alone alot healing, writing and so forth, I spent alot of time recording, inventing beats, and choosing harmonic accompaniments. I played every instrument, wrote every song, sang every song, and made every guest appearance on the record. I had to learn how to produce and mix as well. The sound is symphonic, romantic, bluesy...just a few attributes because the styles are generally different. Also entertaining and melodic. My idea of what great music is came from listening to the Beatles when a little kid. I think their sense of melody must have rubbed off on me. When I first started playing I got chords for both the Beatles and Radiohead (OK Computer); I learned by playing Strawberry Fields and Karma Police.
