Mississippi Mud is the latest release from Bailey since his “Burden The Hand EP” (2008). While the ‘Burden’ sessions saw Bailey revived as a solo artist – Mississippi Mud includes a guest performance by Bailey's long-time collaborator Bill Littleford. Once the initial tracks were recorded in Los Angeles, California they were sent to Bill’s studio in Erlanger, Kentucky for additional tracking. There, Bill tracked his signature Drum & Bass rhythm section. Later, Bill worked with trumpet player Helen North to arrange and record the horns. Mississippi Mud is Bailey’s first release to incorporate this long-distance recording technique that he refers to as “Telegraph Sessions” - blending classic recording techniques with modern technology.
