I'm a Chicago based singer/songwriter whose artistic vision is to start conversations about things that matter. I can't talk about everything that matters, obviously, but it's my hope that whether I'm singing a song about love or anger or hope or regret you will be led to ask questions. Questions about me, questions about you, questions about Him, questions with answers. "For a Poet" is one of the more pop-oriented tunes I've penned, both stylistically & thematically. Written in January 2013, It speaks to the tension faced by someone who realizes that the one they love might not be a great fit for them—but instead of resolving that tension within the song, it leaves listeners to guess what could/should happen. This song owes itself to Darien Pasulka, who tolerates my perfectionism with more grace than anyone I know & volunteered a stupid amount of his own time to adjust the mix. Recording was done at Studio 2424 (Chicago, IL) under the supervision of Danny & John Christy.
