Walls and Windows is the collaborative first effort of Beati Florentine and John Houston. John is a veteran musician who has gigged all over the Southwest. He lives in Hurricane, Utah and has his recording studio - Swami of the Three - there. Beati Florentine is primarily a singer-songwriter and poet who also plays guitar and dreams of UTOPIA. John and Beati met serendipitously in Hurricane, Utah, while Beati was visiting a relative in Utah. Caren, a clerk and manager at the nearby health food store told him about the studio across the lot and about it's owner - John Houston. "You should go meet John, you'll like him!" Much of the next six months was spent by Beati working with John on what was to become their debut offering. A gifted drummer named Dutch Workman was a collegue and friend of John's who does much studio work in the area. Dutch complemented the music well and is now a core member of Walls and Windows. This Alterna-pop-rock music is vocally and lyrically driven by Beati Florentine and is powered by the incredible chops of John Houston. At times the music is Beatlesque, at times Bowie-like, but always original. A unique and contemporary sound distilled from the past. The band is presently shopping the disc to labels and producers.
