El Pacto
Artëma's music takes you to a fantasy world where each song whispers to your ear. The band started releasing an EP with just 3 songs in 2011, each one sounding far different from each other, expressing what the members of the band felt at that time. However, it was not until Aleix Ramon, the composer, wrote 'Circus', that Artëma started to feel accomplished as a metal band. A more mature and characteristic style was born. The result of hard work since then has been the release of this self-produced album, a premiere full of pride and eagerness. The major assets of this project are the first and the last tunes, depicted in the cover. They are the cornerstones of Artëma's vibe: baroque, obscure, melodic, filled with meaning and love for music. 'Circus' ushers you with a story about aliens slaving the human race in a horrible cirque. 'El pacto' closes the repertoire with a sadistic tale and music that reminds of steampunk style. 'Chamán' and 'La leyenda del fugitivo' are songs that convey virtuosity and originality. 'Renacer' and 'Hijos de Odín' are both direct and catchy. 'El cant dels ocells' is a metal version of a traditional catalan song which has been a peace anthem around the globe. 'Muere otro día' makes a difference with its spirit a la John Lennon's 'Imagine'.
