"Broken Glass" is a project that has been 30+ years in the making. Cheryl has written songs based on personal experience and in a way that conveys how she was feeling at the time. The result is a balance of emotions that we all feel at one time or another. Whether it is joy, anger, jealousy, sadness or elation there's something here for everyone. Starting out as songs written mostly on piano, Cheryl, at the encouragement of friends and family, was moved to finally bring them to life via the studio. With the help of Jason and Elaine Arvanites, best known for their educational music series "Brain Jam" and their adult-contemporary music act "Serenade", Cheryl was able to realize her dream of turning these songs into the reality of musical gold. From the meditative "Sitting By My Window" to the heart rending folk song "Broken Glass" to the blues inspired story telling of "Through it All" to the party rocking "All We Got", all the tracks on this album are certain to entertain, intrigue and satisfy. One thing is for sure, at 64 years of age, Cheryl Lynn proves that, when it comes to expressing your feelings to music, you're never too old.
