Ghost of Elvis
SHOCK BREAKING NEWS ABOUT ELVIS DEATH Norwegian Rock Band claims Elvis made a deal and sold his soul to the devil. Last summer members from the unknown famous Norwegian rock band Moonshine was on a trip down south and traveled the music belt from New Orleans to Baton Rouge, driving north following the Mississippi river and up to Memphis and Nashville TN. It was on this trip they stumbled over the heartbreaking news that Elvis made a pact with the devil to become the King of Rock’n Roll. The singer and songwriter in the Band, Glenn E. Sundsbo, say that it was just outside Clarksdale on the old highway 61 driving north, he stopped on a roadside gas station when he suddenly got this strange feeling that someone was watching him. Glenn says; It is all kind of hazy, but I both saw and felt the strong appearance of a mighty personality with a kings voice, asking me where I was going. I answered him that I was on my way up to Graceland in memory of an old friend and colleague of mine. He laughed a friendly laughter and said; Get in the car and I will show you something. I understood there and then that this had to be The Ghost of Elvis. He took me up the Mississippi Delta and to the crossroad where old Highway 61 crosses Highway 49, just outside Clarksdale. There he shoved me the spot where blues legend Robert Johnson sold his soul to the Devil. He looked at me and said that Robert was not the only one, who had made that deal. According to the legend, Robert Johnson, as a young man living on a plantation in Mississippi had a burning desire to become a great blues musician. He was instructed to take his guitar to a crossroad near Dockery Plantation at midnight. There he was met by the devil himself dressed as a large man in a black coat, who took his guitar and tuned it. The Devil played a few songs and then returned the guitar, a Gibson L1 to Johnson, giving him mastery of the instrument. And in exchange for his soul, Robert Johnson was able to create the blues for which he became so famous. But it the happiness was short and Robert died only 27 years old. Glenn says: I was shocked about the news and my suspicious mind was a complete chaos when I asked; How could you? Then Elvis just laughed and said; I made sure Rock’n Roll never dies!
