Last June, a friend of mine, Athenna Crosby, recommended that I go to an audition that was lookig for fresh new talent in the Bay Area. As I came to find out, it was an audition with Patrice Wilson, with PMW Live. After the audition and a call back, I beat out over 300 others for a chance to have him produce a single and a music video for me. My cousin, Steven Wright, of the band, Offset Season, suggested that his bandmate, Jered Jones could write and awesome song for me. I talked to Jered and told him that I wanted a song about a positive message about reaching your dreams and becoming all that you want to be, and not letting anyone or anything negative get in your way. He wrote me an awesome song, that I called Keep on Dreaming! Just a few days later, I was in the recording studio, Different Fur, in San Francisco, CA. Patrice was there and helped me transform my song from just words and a musical beat into a great song! The song turned out just how I wanted it to. The words fit my life perfectly and I hope that the message inspires lot of kids out there to reach for their dreams and never give up. We shot the video in San Jose, CA, my hometown. We started off in my house, then moved to the park across the street. The next location was in downtown Willow Glen, then off to my school, Willow Glen Middle School. It was there that lots of my friends joined into the shoot. We had so much fun and I am so thankful for all of their support. We finished off on Commincations Hill which overlooks the area of town that I grew up in. It was beautiful up there. The director of my video, The Razor and his assitant Joe, did a great job. The main characters of my video, Athenna Crosby, as my friend, Maddie South, as the little girl in the park, Anya Stajner, as the bullied cheerleader, Trey Fitzgerald as the wallet stealer and our City Counciman, Pierluigi Oliverio as the man on the street, all did a wonderful job and I am so thankful for them. I am very happy with my song and my music video and I hope that my message reaches other kids like me who have a big dream......I want them to Keep on Dreaming!
