Emmy award-winning actress Dove Cameron continues to prove her musical stronghold with her latest single “We Belong.” The 24-year old songstress previously teased her debut album with a slew of singles introducing her American sweetheart style with tracks “So Good,” “Out of Touch,” and “Remember Me (feat. Bia).” A year since her first solo release, it looks as though she’s finally found her footing (and it’s a sure force to be reckoned with). “We Belong” pulses like a heartbeat as its lyrics explore the tumultuous ride of love, longing, and the ever so awkward “in-between” stages of a budding relationship. “We belong together, and you know it,” she declares confidently against a catchy jingle-like set of instrumentals. Produced by Jesse Shatkin, the duo manages to encapsulate the innocence of dating as a twenty-something and the indecisiveness that comes along with being young and in love. “Said I need space, but I don’t need space, I need you to come to me” the singer claims poignantly.
