The midtempo R&B and pop song was written by British singer Taio Cruz, with the rap section written by Lil Wayne. Norwegian duo Stargate produced the song. A music video for "I'm Into You" began production in Chichen Itza, Mexico on April 2, 2011. It was released on May 2, 2011 at Today and the video depicts the singer on a beach with her love interest and also shows scenes where she dances with two back-up singers as well as featuring the singer on a Mayan pyramid. The video received critical acclaim, praising her dance ability and beauty.
