When we first listened to IKEs remix for SoulPhictions “Changes” we were totally flashed... what a huge rework and reason enough for us to go ahead with a full ep of IKEs special sound: a deep mixture of raw Funk, oldschool House, Bass, more Bass and some kind of a Dubstep vibe... The title track “Pressin On” goes straight on dirty bassline moves crossed by dedicated trumpet sounds while the second “Cluster Funk” got tricky clap programming and lives up to one`s name. On the flip “Humongous” and “Driftwood” are not less funkier but both are with some kind of Detroit House appeal and impressive Minimal ruffness...
