Very First Time
Heartbreaker, pop rock-n-roller and smooth crooner are just some of the characteristics that constitute the musical and lyrical phenomenon that is Chris James. Chris was first discovered at a Battle of the Bands in his hometown of Montreal. In the years since, the 29-year-old guitarist and pianist has established himself within the pop-rock genre as both a singer/songwriter and producer. “If It’s Me,” Chris’ first album (released in 2010), was self-produced and recorded at Piccolo Studios with members of Celine Dion's touring band. With over 50,000 downloads, the album's title track “If It's Me” was chosen as “iTunes Canada's Single of the Week” and its video held the #1 position on Quebec TV Musimax's Top 5 Chart for several weeks. The album's success led to a series of television appearances and features in newspapers and magazines. With over 350,000 views off his last self-released cover video and the hype from NME and Rihanna's official fansite for his cover of “Stay,” Chris is all the more excited to release his upcoming EP, which is scheduled for Spring 2017. With an indie pop-electro twist, Chris’ forthcoming EP will catch the ears of new listeners and have his fans tapping their feet and humming along to catchy hooks.
