The warm baritone singer Johnny Hartman is actually accompanied by the Ralph Sharon Trio and trumpeter Howard McGhee on four songs and the Frank Hunter String Orchestra on the remainder of the set. The emphasis is on ballads (always Hartman's strong point) with the highlights including "Blue Skies," "Tenderly," "The Lamp Is Low" and "I Concentrate on You."
